Dear All Patients,
As we enter 2024, the April merge gets closer and closer! All sites have been working hard to ensure the transition is as simple and fluent as possible. Each month we will provide an update for our patients as it is important to us to keep you included in both business and clinical changes. If you have any queries, please contact your current practice using the email provided through our websites. Going forward we will have a new website, but we will keep you updated as this establishes itself.
Clinical team updates
To begin, we would like to announce the departure of two partners, Dr Jo Smith and Dr Nick Jones.
Dr Smith will remain with the Somer Valley Medical group as a GP and will continue to practice with us into the merge. However, Dr Jones will be sadly leaving us after many years of dedication and service to both team and community on the 31st March 2024. We wish them both the best in their chosen ventures.
New to the team
As a company we would like to announce a few new updates referring to the team and partnership. Please provide a warm welcome to all below:

- Sue Bendall- Care Co-Ordinator at St Chads and Chilcompton site
- Sue Burch- Reception/Prescriptions admin at Somerton House site
- Georgina Hackett- Receptionist at Somerton House Surgery site
- Zoe Pearson- Receptionist at Somerton House Surgery site
- Dr Cassie Thomas – New salaried GP at Somerton House site (In post)
- Dr Caroline Botley- New salaried GP at Somerton House site (Starts in Feb)
- Dr Anna Putnis – New Clinical Partner for the Merged Organisation (Starts in April)
Digital triage
Firstly, we would like to thank all our patients for their continued support through this system change. So many of you have written in / verbally extended their positive feedback for the new system. We are working together to ensure that every angle is covered ready for our full merge in April.
