Nurse Practitioners
Sister Tracey Edwards – Female
Our practice has a specially trained nurse practitioner, Sister Edwards, who is available to see you as an alternative to seeing the doctor. The nurse can deal with many minor problems such as coughs, colds, vomiting, diarrhoea, acute earache, cystitis, sore throats and so on. Sister Edwards also runs our Diabetes Service, and can assess patients with Asthma. She also provides routine nursing appointments such as dressings, immunisations and injections. Sister Edwards runs our Child Immunisation programme.
Nurses
Nurse Alison Francis – Female
Sister Francis will see you for routine nurse appointments such as dressings, immunisations, ear syringing etc. In addition Sister Francis is involved in Family Planning, Well Woman Clinics, Asthma, chronic lung disease and foreign travel advice. Sister Francis also provides a weekly Nurse Led Minor Illness Clinic as an alternative to seeing a doctor.
Healthcare Assistants
Mrs Rosemary Drewitt – Female
Our Health Care Assistants are fully trained and able to take bloods, blood pressures, wound dressings, health checks etc.
Phlebotomist / Stop Smoking Advisor
Miss Hannah Lunt Female
We have a member of staff within the practice trained as a Phlebotomist. A Phlebotomist is a person trained to take blood samples, he/she is not a nurse and will not be able to answer any medical questions.
Hannah also runs a weekly stop smoking service on a Monday afternoon.
