Your result will be available a week after you have had it done.
The results of tests you may have had can be given over the phone but it is preferably in the afternoon when the telephone is less busy, you do not need a telephone appointment for this and quite often the result will be given to you by the receptionist.
If the doctor wishes to discuss the results with you, they will ask a member of staff to contact you to arrange a convenient time.
