Vulnerable Patients

There are 2 levels of higher risk: see link below.

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/people-at-higher-risk-from-coronavirus/whos-at-higher-risk-from-coronavirus/

  1. Moderate risk (clinically vulnerable)

There are many patients who have some increased risk of becoming unwell with the coronavirus. As a general guide if you have previously been offered a flu immunisation this will include you.

If you are in this group you are advised to maintain careful social distancing. We understand that many people are concerned about working under covid secure conditions and point you to the government information regards this https://www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-coronavirus-covid-19

  1. High risk (clinically extremely vulnerable)

Patients who are especially vulnerable will have received the government letter regards “shielding”. You are advised to stay at home as per the instructions on the letter. We have made special arrangements at the surgery to keep you apart and safe if you need to come to us to access tests or care. Please inform our reception staff that you are a “shielding patient”  if they are not already aware when you book your appointment.
